Liquid Printed Bag

Research completed at Self-Assembly Lab in collaboration with Christophe Guberan
Presented by Patrick Parrish Gallery
Supported by swissnexBoston

At Design Miami, we presented our novel printing process, Rapid Liquid Printing, developed in collaboration with Steelcase. Through live demonstrations, we showcased this temporary manufacturing facility by printing bags directly in the gel. The robot and tank of gel were situated in the middle of the space, allowing people to wander around the entire setup. Each bag was printed in 45 minutes, left to cure, removed and rinsed. Final bags were hung on the wall for purchase. This exhibit at Design Miami was the first live demonstration of our Rapid Liquid Printing process for public viewing.
